Troop 1468's second spring camp was held in the Jones Spring area, near Townsend. A hike in to the carry-in sites revealed a secluded lake with plenty of opportunity to fish, hike, and take in the sights. The boys got to practice their lightweight camping skills--it's been amazing to see the transformation from "I'll bring everything but the kitchen sink" packing for the weekend to "What can I fit in one backpack?" The boys also did a fantastic job with their menus, creating a "no refrigeration needed" shopping list and setting troop records for the least amount of money spent per person and generating virtually no leftovers while still keeping everybody fed.
